Game Description:

Math Detective is a fun grade 3 math game set in a dark-theme, mystery-style world with an owl detective as the character of the game. This gives this math game a bit of adventure feel instead of just being another boring math worksheet.

Before starting, the child picks the type of math practice they want to do, be it addition, subtraction, multiplication, or division. They also pick a desired number range of 0 to 99, 0 to 199, or 0 to 999.

This range makes it easy to fit the game to a child’s specific level, whether it’s for classroom learning or a homeschool curriculum.

Fun Grade 3 Game For Math Practice

This is one of those math games for kids that turn basic arithmetic practice into a fun detective adventure that entices the young minds. Kids take on the role of an owl detective using a magnifying glass to search through tiles containing a possible answer to an arithmetic question. Their goal is to find and select the correct answer before the timer runs out.

The game keeps children engaged as it blends simple maths and exploration. As they progress through the levels, they get repeated practice in addition, subtraction and other basic arithmetic skills.

There is also a lightbulb icon kids can tap for a hint if they get stuck. This way the game stays fun and not frustrating for young learners.

How to Play

• Click “Start”, then pick the arithmetic operation you want be it addition, subtraction, multiplication or division.
• Pick the desired number range depending on the level of difficulty you want and start playing.
• A question will appear at the top of the screen; something like Find 5 + 4 = ?. The child has to work out the answer, then move the owl onto the tile with that number before it wanders off.
• Getting it right triggers a quick “You’re Correct!” message and points are added to the previous score.
• A wrong answer doesn’t stop the game; the owl just keeps moving, so kids jump straight to the next question.
• Each one comes with a 30-second timer, and the level goes up as the round continues.
• When time runs out, a “Good Job” screen shows the correct answers, wrong answers, total score, and time taken.
