Tiki Tiki Add is a fun 1^st Grade math game that helps kids practice simple addition arithmetic. Every correct score to an addition problem presented on screen makes a character jump from one platform to another as the game progresses.

That’s about it! No wonder, it is one of those simplest games where the child can figure out what to do without really needing a long explanation first.

The game gives Grade 1 learners a way to practice basic addition through repeated play with a variety of fun little characters. There are five characters to pick from, including a square robot-looking character, a small box-shaped one, a round character with a blue nose, a cat-like character and a pig-like character. The child gets to choose who they want to play as before starting.

There is that link between each math question to an immediate action in the game. This encourages children to repeatedly practice addition as they keep an eye on getting the next answer right.

How to Play

Tiki Tiki Add is quite easy to play, which makes it a good option for math practice for younger kids.

The child first chooses one of the five available characters to play with or opts to play with the preselected one.
An instruction screen then explains that the math problem needs to be solved correctly to keep jumping across the platforms.
Once the game starts, the chosen character begins jumping between grassy platforms.
A simple addition question being held by two flying birds appears near the top of the screen, such as 3 + 3 = ? or 3 + 0 = ?.
The child works out the answer so the character can continue across the platforms.
Every correct answer adds points to the score.
Three hearts appear at the top left of the screen. These are the child’s chances, so they cannot keep getting answers wrong forever.
When all three hearts are used up, the character jumps down and falls off the platforms.
The game then shows a Game Over screen with the final score and high score.
The child can then choose to play again or return to the home screen.
